I am a Culturally competent Psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience working with diverse populations providing treatment using various evidence-based, person centered treatment modalities. I am EMDR Parts 1 & 2 Certified, A Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider, A licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Provider and am Registered Supervisor with the Board of Virginia to provide supervision for other's seeking licensure and am also able to provide supervision for those seeking certification in the treatment of Substance Abuse (CSAC). I do not believe in stigmatizing or judging people, nor do I believe that people "are" their diagnosis. I believe that the relationship between client and therapist is one of the most important tools of change, so I strive to create a safe space where the client feels free to be their authentic self. I have , extensive experience and training in trauma. I also have experience with substance abuse, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, anger, self esteem, life changes, LGBT, OCD, Bipolar disorders, stress management, grief, isolation and loneliness, guilt, parenting issues, issues and lack of assertiveness. I I am committed to building trusting relationships, while adhering to all ethical standards of practice. I work with diverse populations and ages.
